THE CHALLENGE
To make an object using Pewter, a malleable material which has been used for centuries but less commonly found in todays products. Modern pewter is lead free and home ware safe. A beautiful material which has great reflective qualities.

Inspired by Fuller's geodesic dome, I have used the inherent strength of the triangular structure to create this deceptively delicate pewter bowl. The bowl has a pentagonal pyramid base whereby it tips with the shifting weight of its contents giving a playful, interactive 'slant' to the traditional table setting.
